Take a Look at Profiles Before You Take the Leap to Post Yours
  Email Email    Print Print
There's an old saying "look before you leap." It means that you should be aware of what you're getting into before committing yourself.

The Freelancer profile design on Guru.com offers many options for Freelancers to present themselves to Employers in a polished, navigation-friendly manner. Undoubtedly, some features will benefit you more than others, depending on your skill category, your target audience and your marketing efforts.
  • What are these profile features?
  • Which features are required and which are optional?
  • What happens if you take no action?
  • What will your profile look like to Employers without any input at all?
  • Will completing the profile be effective use of your time?
The following chart presents a summary of the profile elements to help you take that leap with confidence. It describes each feature and then explains what happens upon activating and unhiding a new profile if you have chosen to be a looker (take no action) or a leaper (actively market yourself).
