Project Checklist - Before You Begin

Before beginning the project, make sure you can answer "yes" to the following points.
  • You can easily communicate with the Employer. Depending on your preferred method of communication, you and the Employer must be able to communicate effectively to get anywhere. If, when speaking with the Employer, you find that you have a hard time discussing the project or they have a hard time explaining their wants and needs, set him or her aside.
  • The Employer can be reached with little effort. Employers who are easy to reach instill a level of trust. The ability to reach someone easily to ask a question or discuss progress is critical. The Employer who provides numerous means of contact and is available for the entire duration of your project is a better choice than the one who is only available on Tuesdays after 5 p.m. and has planned an extended vacation during the project.
  • The Employer accepts your time and cost quotes. An acceptance of your time and cost estimates, either initially or after negotiation, is critical to project success.
  • The Employer approves the uploaded Project Agreement. A Project Agreement that is understood and accepted is paramount to project success and resolving any disputes, should they arise.
  • The Employer is willing to use SafePay. It is the safest way to transact with Employers, as you can request the Employer to pay 100% of the project payment to Guru.com before you begin working on the project. Employers who are willing to use SafePay are serious about paying you.
