Excellent communication is a huge component of any project's success. To help expedite communication between you and Employers, you have the choice to reveal your contact information in the public Employer search. Though this allows an Employer to contact you more quickly, you may not feel comfortable with this option and therefore have the choice to keep your information hidden until you bid on a specific project.
If you choose to reveal your contact information in the public search, signed-in Employers will be able to reach you instantly and directly via phone, email, fax, and a variety of instant messengers (such as Skype or iChat). This enhances your opportunity to boost your project volume, and ultimately increase your profit.
If you choose to hide your information, it will remain so until you bid on a project, at which time it will be revealed to that specific Employer. Before making this decision you may want to consider that your business information is likely published in a phonebook or other directory, therefore it's already public. Also, the information will be viewable to signed-in Guru.com Employers only, and will not show up on Google or other search engines, thereby limiting viewers to potential Employers on Guru.com.
