Manage Your Projects and Hire the Best Freelancer with Greater Ease.
From reviewing your project information to evaluating Freelancers' Quotes, we're making it easier for you to manage your projects. On September 12, visit your Project Manager to enjoy easier navigation and a streamlined page design.

Need Help Selecting the Best Freelancer? Look for a New "Recommended" Number. When you review Freelancers' Quotes, you will see a "Recommended" number instead of a "Rank" with each Profile.

The "Recommended" number will highlight those Freelancers that are the most serious about completing quality work.
It will be determined by Freelancers' Membership Status and Total Marketing Score. Subscribing Guru and Guru Vendor Members will appear above Basic Members. And, members will be sorted by their Total Marketing Score, with larger scores appearing at the top. The Total Marketing Score measures Freelancers' ability to acquire new customers, earn money from them and retain them over time.

PLEASE ADD A "# BLOCKED" COLUMN to the Feedback History section on freelancers!!

I hope this "Recommended" number reflects the number of "Blocked" comments or any trends in the number of comments blocked - particularly when from MULTIPLE employers.

There is an enormous amount of information value to Employers knowing the number of comments "blocked" relative to the number of projects where the employer was too busy, indifferent, lazy, etc., to leave feedback!

How is it possible for a freelancer to have 36 projects and 35 reviews (97% of projects) over the PAST 12 months, but only have 16 reviews with 22 projects for PAST 6 months (only 73% projects with reviews)?? Specifically, I am referring to freelancer "scriptshouse" of Romania.

You don't need a Masters degree in mathematics (or any degree, for that matter), to calculate it is **impossible** to have an equal-weighted 97% review rate over the past year with only 73% being reviewed over the most recent HALF of that period!

So, my guess is one of two things occur here. Either:

1. The percentage of projects reviewed is dollar-weighted (e.g., a single $1 million project reviewed and 100 projects for $10 with no review results in a 99.9% review result) - which makes no sense.

2. Earnings from prior periods with favorable reviews are being used to HIDE or BLOCK *POOR* performance on recent projects.

This nuisance of the current rating system is likely not realized by new users of the site.

I hope for the future growth of Guru.com this "blocking" by freelancers will be MORE APPARENT to those considering hiring a freelancer.

No one cares if a freelancer WAS doing a great job 12 months ago but now is unprofessional, doesn't do what is promised 9 months ago but hasn't kept a milestone in past 3 months, over the past, used to be an excellent communicator 6 months ago and now won't return an e-mail to save his life!!

We care how the freelancer is likely to perform for us on our CURRENT project.

PLEASE ADD A "# BLOCKED" COLUMN to the Feedback History section on freelancers!!

Thank you,
John Alexander
