Inder Guglani is the Founder and CEO of Guru.com -- the world’s largest online marketplace for freelance talent.

There has never been a day when Inder did not consider himself an entrepreneur.  With an unconventional approach to risk-taking, Inder is driven by fierce optimism and an unshakeable belief in Guru.com's core mission: to help skilled individuals around the world find work opportunities regardless of location.

In less than 10 years, Inder has taken Guru.com from a struggling start-up on limited funding to an established market leader in a fast-paced, emergent industry.

Inder and his company have been recognized nationally for innovation and leadership in the online services industry.  In 2008, Inder received the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Business Services in the Upper New York, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia Region.  He is a past recipient of four Presidential awards for excellence.  Guru.com has been named among the Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in the U.S. by Inc.com, Red Herring and BusinessWeek Small Biz magazines.

Prior to founding Guru.com, Inder worked for FedEx Ground and lead a task force to improve the profitability of more than 100 business units.  By pioneering an innovative process to deliver packages to outlying areas, Inder created over $2 million in savings per year.  His expansion plan also evolved the company from a regional to a national operator.

Inder holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Carnegie Mellon University. He also holds a Chartered Accountant Certification from the Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree with honors from Delhi University.

Outside the office, Inder serves the Pittsburgh community, focusing on entrepreneurship education and international arts.  He is a Board Member at Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business and a charter member of The IndUS Entrepreneurs.  Inder  supports local arts organizations like the Silk Screen Asian American Film Festival to foster understanding and expression across global cultures.
